Lauren Hollister

Lauren Hollister writes picture books for kids who are curious about everything: firetrucks, cruise ships, and what mom really does at work all day. She lives in South Carolina with her husband, Ken, and their two sons, Josh and Devin, who inspired her to start writing in the first place.

By day, Lauren is an Environmental Lab Manager, leading a team that keeps the region’s water safe and clean — the same job she brought to life for young readers in A Scientist Named Mom. Her other titles include Little Red Firetruck and the ongoing Coral’s Big Adventure series, following a spirited cruise ship on her travels around the world.

When she’s not writing, Lauren can be found running lab tests, chasing her boys around, or dreaming up Coral’s next adventure.
